Download every slide of an Instagram carousel
Right-click only gets you one slide, usually the small version. This saves all of them, full size, numbered, from one post or from every post on a profile.
A ten-slide post gives you ten files, _01 to _10.
The largest image Instagram serves for each slide, and videos with sound.
Single posts never count against the free profiles.
The steps
Install the extension
Add IG Mass Media Downloader to Chrome, Brave or Edge.
Point at the post
In any grid, or on the opened post, move the mouse over it. A small round download button appears at its top-left corner.
Click it
The button turns into a tick when the slides are saved. A note tells you how many files and offers Open folder.
Or take the whole profile
Open the profile and press Download all media: every carousel on it comes down the same way, in one go.
What the files look like
- Named after the post:
DdvB-rtl-UR_01.jpg,DdvB-rtl-UR_02.jpg, the same code you see in the post's address. - Photos and videos mixed: a carousel with a clip in the middle keeps it in the middle, as
.mp4. - In the profile's folder:
Downloads\<profile>\posts, so slides from many posts don't get mixed up.
Good to know
- Reels are saved the same way, with the download button on the video.
- You can save only from profiles your account can see.
- Someone else's work is for your own reference. Credit them if you share what you learned.

Is it safe for my account?
The extension makes the same requests the Instagram website makes when you scroll, at the pace of a fast scroll, and backs off when Instagram asks it to. Automated access is against Instagram's terms, so use it with your own account and keep the volume reasonable.
Which profiles can I save?
Only profiles your Instagram account can already see, the same as on the website. Private profiles you don't follow stay private.
What quality are the files?
Photos at the largest size Instagram serves. Videos from the highest-quality streams, with picture and sound merged, not re-encoded.
Does it need my password?
No. It uses the login already in your browser. Nothing you download, and none of your cookies, leave your computer. See the privacy policy.
